Cell phones have been popular for many years now but it has only been in the last couple of years that phones for kids have become mainstream. Kids sooner or later want to use any new technology that comes out and with the advent of texting, teens especially think they need cell phones. Younger children want the phones too and many parents feel a mobile phone might make their child safer. Manufacturers are now scrambling to put out new lines of phones that are targeted just for the younger age group.
